Restaurant Île Flottante (formerly Les Deux Singes de Montarvie) is a fine dining restaurant based in Montréal. DJÖYN, in collaboration with designer and illustrator Lara Younes, developed the brand’s strategy, visual identity and print and digital material that were inspired by the Expo 67 - an era of interest for Chef Sean Murray Smith and co-owner Nada Abou Younes. The emblem of the brand is based on the Katimavik (Canadian Pavillion) which means ‘gathering place’ in Inuktitut, reflecting the restaurant’s welcoming and approachable spirit. Designed items include lunch, dinner and wine menu, website, vinyl signage and wine glass engraving.
DJÖYN also develops Ile Flo's social media events posts, and documents the continuously changing tasting menu through food photography.
